It is always better to be seen at your own surgery. However if a very urgent problem arises that really cannot wait until the next surgery, emergency out of hours care is covered by 111/BARNDOC (a co-operative of local GP’s) who will expect you to attend a local hospital. Emergency home visits are now rare and are done at the doctor’s discretion.
BARNDOC opening hours
Monday – Friday from 6.30pm – 8.00am, 24 hour cover Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
